Release of the 2017 Human Rights Budget Speech

Debate about the budget should be based on the real human rights issues that people across the country are facing. The Constitution requires that the budget responds to these issues.

In the 2017 Human Rights Budget Speech, launched at the Human Rights Commission this morning, more than a dozen organisations have set out concrete, costed proposals for a human rights friendly budget.
