Numsa’s Jim hints at new strike deal move

It appears  that the Numsa’s  strike  could come to  an end soon. Last  week a smaller union, the United Association of South Africa (Uasa), with about 20 000 members, accepted the wage increase “in principle”.There has been some development in talks between the National Union of Metalworkers of SA (Numsa) and employers over a wage offer that could end a walkout in the metal and engineering sector, union leader Irvin Jim told SAFM radio on Monday. The union will hold a press briefing at 14:00 GMT.
